The End

Part 2, Day 2: Council Bluffs to Atlantic, Iowa, July 2

Today I ended my ride to DC. I was facing a number of factors that combined told me it was time to end the ride. I did not feel safe due to GPS mapping errors, flooding causing route changes, extreme weather, and my dad having difficulty navigating the van to meet me.

I feel good about what I accomplished: riding over 2,100 miles riding from Seattle, Washington to Iowa. I want to thank you for your support. I am at total peace with this decision.
